ACE Takin’ It To The Schools
Community Outreach Event at St. Mary’s Catholic School Austin, TX.

This concert will feature Martha M. Ahern, pianist and Katherine Altobello, mezzo-soprano presenting an interactive concert for school students. Repertoire will include everything from Classical, Musical Theater and Film. The two concerts in the schools are provided in part by a grant from Music Teachers National Association Foundation proposed by and awarded to Artistic Director, Martha M. Ahern.


The Book of Goddesses in Music and Dance

Chaski (Shana Norton, harp; Adrienne Inglis, flute) celebrates their 30th season. This performance helps ACE fulfills its vision of collaborating with other Texas artists and arts organizations. We are pleased to support and present Chaski and help them celebrate 30 years of Austin arts performances.

“The Book of Goddesses” is a newly-composed work by award winning and Grammy nominated composer Robert Paterson (Austin Symphony Texas premier of his work “Dark Shadows”, May 2014). The event will include percussion by Dr. Matthew McClung and choreography by Sophia L.

Torres (Psophonia Dance Company) from Houston, TX. All are invited to stay for cake afterwards and a short 'meet and greet' with the composer and artists.

Ladies Who Lunch
First Presbyterian Church 8001 Mesa Drive, Austin, TX 78731
March 6th & 7th, 2015, 8pm
What's it all about - 'Ladies Who Lunch'? Who are they? What do they do? Why do they do what they do? This interactive event will include selections from musical theater, opera, film, operetta and current art songs for voice and piano. You'll hear solos, vocal ensembles and 4-hand piano works/arrangements based on this theme from Sondheim's "Company". Favorite ACE Artists (from Austin and Monroe, LA) include: Claire Vangelisti & June Julian, sopranos; Katherine Altobello, mezzo-soprano; Jeffrey Jones-Ragona, tenor; Martha Mortensen Ahern & Richard Seiler, pianists. The evening will feature costumes,some staging and props depicting events in the lives of 'Ladies Who Lunch' with stage direction by Joshua Miller.
