Buffalo Gals meet Brahms and Bernstein
Monday, October 12, 2009 at 7pm - FREE, Jewish Community Center, 7300 Hart Lane
This program will consist of works for clarinet and piano with Martha MacDonald, clarinet and Lita Guerra, piano.
Selections performed include Dance Preludes by Lutoslawski, Sonatas by Bernstein and Brahms (Op. 120 #1), and
Walker's Buffalo Gals and others. Refreshments will be provided after the performance (coffee and sweets most likely) for $1 donation.

You're invited to join artists Claire Vangelisti, soprano; Delaine Fedson, harp; and Sandra Lunte, flute
for a delightful program. It will consist of duo and solo repertoire for flute and harp, folk songs from
the British Isles arranged for voice and harp, as well as a voice/harp arrangement of the well known operatic
aria Rusalka's Song to the Moon.

Music to fit the Spring season performed by women; violist Martha Carapetyan, flautist Barb Mahler, and harpist Elaine Barber.
The concert will consist of duos in various instrumental combinations, solos, and several selections for the trio. The
repertoire will have a French flavor, including the Trio by Debussy. A chamber music in a beautiful setting (private home),
and the music is lush and romantic. A "tea" will be offered to audience members to fit the theme.

Music featured in this concert includes universally appealing Broadway and Gilbert and Sullivan
music either about or sung by villains or otherwise misunderstood characters. Martha Dudgeon will
accompany soprano Eva Laskaris & tenor Jeffrey Jones-Ragona. This mixed program will feature vocal
solos and duets drawn from repertoire by Gilbert and Sullivan including The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance ,
and The Sorcerer. The other half of the program will feature music from Broadway's The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz and Wicked.
